  Royal-Pedic Organic Innerspring Mattresses

The founder of Royal-Pedic mastered mattress making at the prestigious Heals of London, a 300-year-old manufacturer of mattresses for England's Royal Family and other dignitaries. Lucky for us, in 1946 Royal-Pedic came to the United States. Royal-Pedic mattresses soon became the premier choice for many Los Angeles based interior design firms. They were also in demand by an endless list of film celebrities and six U.S. presidents, including John F. Kennedy, who insisted on a Royal-Pedic mattress wherever he traveled. Ronald Reagan's favorite was a custom (84" x 84") size that has since been requested by many. The largest mattress they ever made was for the legendary basketball star, Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt's mattress was 10 feet wide by 10 feet long and took 8 men to deliver.

The Royal-Pedic Natural and Organic mattress we feature in our showroom boasts a double heat tempered, 632 coil innerspring system (queen size). The coils in the mattress are open ended, six turn coils designed to provide maximum comfort. T-Spring side supports provide extra edge support.

Over 40 pounds of pre-compressed organic cotton go into making our Royal-Pedic. The cotton is domestically grown, and organic, which means it has no pesticide residue. Plus its two-sided design also allows the mattress to be flipped over to lengthen its lifespan. There is a thick layer of French Wool directly underneath the organic cotton covering to provide natural flame resistance. The French wool is processed naturally with no harsh chemicals. And like all wool, it provides resistance to dust mites, dissipates moisture and helps keep you dry and comfortable. Wool is also naturally flame resistant which allows their mattresses to be free of chemical flame retardants.

The Royal-Pedic mattresses can be placed directly on a platform bed, a foundation or on the Royal-Pedic box spring.   This flexibility lets you alter the comfort level of this mattress, because a box spring will give the mattress a softer feel than a platform bed or foundation.

If you like your mattress more on the firm side, you can learn more about the high quality Savvy Rest foundation.   Our showroom Royal-Pedic rests on a Savvy Rest foundation.  A new foundation will enhances the performance, life-span and comfort of a new mattress.  If your old mattress is worn-out, then so is its box spring.  Money spent on a new foundation or box spring will extend the life of the mattress.

The Royal-Pedic Natural and Organic innerspring is endowed with a ten year non-prorated warranty. The warranty covers materials and workmanship as well as covers the mattress taking a significant body impression.

  The Savvy Rest Earthspring Hybrid Mattress

Savvy Rest makes two hybrid, or Simple Fit, mattresses.  The Savvy Earthspring mattress is an all-natural mattress that uses a simple, yet comfortable design.  It is not adjustable, but is very comfortable with a 3" layer of natural dunlop latex on top.  Under the latex is a set of bonnell springs sandwiched between two sheets of coir.   The mattress is encased in the Savvy Rest organic quilted casing (made of certified organic cotton fabric with certified organic wool batting).  It is free of synthetic materials and chemicals, including flame retardant chemicals.   It performs best on a platform style bed or solid foundation.

Savvy Rest's other hybrid mattress is the Simplicity, consisting of latex and coir.
